Escaping to the Hills: A Night at CASA B201
If you are looking for a quiet escape in Dapoli, I recently stumbled upon a hidden gem that might just be what you need. Tucked away in the village of Asud, CASA ASUD is a cluster of about 20 twin duplex bungalows. While each unit is owned by someone different, my review is specifically for Unit B201, a charming spot on the first floor.
The Vibe & Location
The moment you arrive, the scenery steals the show. The property is surrounded by mountains on all four sides, creating a beautiful, secluded atmosphere. It is about a 10-minute drive from the beach, so having your own vehicle is a must.

The Room
B201 is a compact, cozy 1 BHK. It features a small living room with a lovely sitting balcony—perfect for your morning tea—a kitchenette, a snug bedroom, and a very neat bathroom.
Facilities & Amenities
The unit comes with a few basics: a refrigerator, an induction stove, a deep pan for tea, and a few cups. There is a swimming pool on the premises, which is great for a dip, though the bottom tiles are showing their age (watch out for loose chips!). There is ample parking right near the building, so you won’t have to haul your luggage far.
- Food: There is no on-site restaurant, but you can drive to the nearby village for meals.
- Extras: You can request a barbecue setup for an additional cost.
The Hiccups
While the staff was polite, they seemed a bit unprepared. We arrived late, and the main office in-charge had already left. The lights weren't working when we entered (fixed in 10 minutes, but it should have been checked beforehand), the electric kettle was broken, and the staff didn't know the WiFi password or how the AC remote worked. Luckily, the weather was cold enough that we didn't miss the AC!
Important Notes
Accessibility: This unit is on the 1st floor and the property is not wheelchair friendly. If you have knee pain or difficulty with stairs, this might not be the best fit.
Price: We paid Rs. 3,700 (including taxes).
Final Verdict
Despite the minor service hiccups, CASA B201 offers great value for money. If you want a budget-friendly stay surrounded by mountains and don't mind driving for food or disconnecting from the internet, this is a beautiful spot to unwind.
